Job summary

Chief's on Broadway is seeking a Service Assistant (Busser/Runner) in Nashville, TN to support FOH operations. You will assist servers, coordinate food delivery, and maintain high cleanliness standards in a busy venue with live music.

Ideal candidates have prior busser or food runner experience in a high-volume setting, excellent guest service and strong organizational skills. Flexibility for day, night, weekends, and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• Prior busser or food runner experience in high-volume, fast-paced settings.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant/bar/venue environment.
• Excellent guest service and hospitality skills.

• Able to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Welcome each guest with a smile and friendly greeting.
• Coordinate food orders to guarantee timely delivery to guests.
• Maintain table maintenance when dropping off food and clearing dishes.
• Maintain high food safety and sanitation standards.
• Know menu ingredients and allergen information and communicate to guests.
• Navigate restaurant/venue floor including tight spaces and noisy rooms.
• Ensure proper number of chairs at each table and sanitize surfaces.
• Inform management of any complaints or incidents.
• Maintain rapport with FOH & BOH teams.
• Complete opening/closing duties and other tasks as needed.

About Chief's

Chief's on Broadway is a six-story bar and live music venue celebrating the ever-expanding musical legacy of Eric Church. Set in the heart of downtown Nashville, Chief's brings together music, design, and culinary offerings for an unmatched entertainment experience in Music City. The first floor houses a broadcast studio, home to Church's Outsiders Radio on SiriusXM, with the capability to host programming from a range of media partners. Food and drink are available throughout the venue, along with a new street-facing frozen Greek yogurt walk-up window from Nashville-based Culture Club. The third and fourth floors hold a ticketed live music venue that has hosted residencies from Eric Church, among others. About The Role

Service Assistants lend support to our staff and improve the overall food and beverage experience for the guests. They assist servers, performing any tasks necessary to ensure a high-quality customer experience.

Tasks Include, But Are Not Limited To

• Welcome each guest with a smile and friendly greeting.
• Coordinate food orders to guarantee timely and efficient delivery to guests.
• Exercise table maintenance when dropping off food, clearing any dirty dishes as necessary, etc.
• Maintain high food safety and sanitation standards.
• Have extensive menu knowledge, including ingredients, preparation methods, and allergen information and communicate this information tableside to guests.
• Be able to navigate restaurant and venue floor, including tight spaces and dark and noisy rooms.
• Check floor set up, making sure proper number of chairs are at each table in every section.
• Assure tabletops and chairs are sanitized as well as floor area around them.
• Inform management of any complaints, comments, or incidents.
• Maintain a good rapport with both FOH & BOH hourly & management teams.
• Ensure daily/nightly/weekly and opening/running/closing duties are completed.
• Perform other reasonably assigned duties as per business needs and/or assigned by management.

Your Qualifications

• Prior busser or food runner experience in high-volume, fast paced restaurant or similar environment preferred.
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, results- oriented, restaurant/bar/venue environment
• Exceptional guest service and hospitality skills
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and work ethic
• Excellent interpersonal skills; able to work both as a team and independently
• Ability to take direction, and communicate effectively and professionally
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform physical requirements of position including standing for extended periods of time, kneeling, stooping, using stairs, able to lift loads of up to 50 lbs.
• Able to work rapidly, especially during peak periods to ensure that all guests are being serviced properly and necessary operational tasks are being completed in a timely manner
• Ability to sustain loud noise volume
