Overview of Position

Maintains the entire interior and exterior of the restaurant. Buses tables and washes dishes.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

1. Maintains landscape.
2. Sweeps, scrubs, and cleans curbs, building pad, and dumpster area.
3. Racks, washes, and sanitizes dishes, pots, pans, and utensils within prescribed standards for cleanliness and efficiency.
4. Clears and cleans tables.
5. Carries trays of dishes to the dish room and returns clean dishware to service areas.
6. Cleans and organizes back of the house, e.g., sweeps and scrubs floors, removes garbage.
7. Cleans and organizes front of the house, e.g., sweeps, vacuums, removes trash, cleans restrooms and parking lot.
8. Completes deep cleaning duties (scrubs walls, cleans walk-in cooler/freezer, scrubs sidewalk, dumpster area).
9. Stores and rotates stock.
10. Adheres to Denny’s Brand Standards and internal policies and procedures.
11. Assists other service personnel.

Accountabilities

1. Ensures dining room tables are cleaned and sanitized. Maintains adequate supply of pots, pans, dishes, glassware, ice, and utensils throughout the shift. Keeps front and back of the house clean, organized, and stocked to ensure timely customer service. Keeps restaurant exterior clean, neat, and organized.

Qualification Standards

1. Ability to lift 30 lbs required.
2. Flexible and reliable.
3. Team player.
4. Bends, stoops, reaches, wipes, and lifts.
5. Must have sufficient mobility to move and operate in the work area.
6. Must work inside and outside.
7. Must be able to observe wares to ensure health requirements are met.
8. Must meet any state, county, or municipal regulation pertaining to health risk concerns about food handling.
