Job Responsibilities:
  1. Plan, direct, and supervise team members in daily store operations across various departments.
  2. Serve as a mentor and coach for all team members.
  3. Implement strategies to improve customer service, drive sales, and meet customer needs efficiently.
  4. Maintain store appearance, focusing on prime shopping hours, product presentation, and adherence to company standards.
  5. Ensure a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and team members.
  6. Manage staffing, recruitment, and onboarding processes.
  7. Promote career development through succession planning and training.
  8. Handle disciplinary actions and recommend terminations when necessary.
  9. Manage profit and loss, achieve sales targets, and control departmental shrinkage.
  10. Model exceptional customer service and promote the Meijer Friendly Initiative.
  11. Mentor and coach team members to meet sales and service goals.
  12. Ensure all team members are thoroughly trained and have completed required certifications.
  13. Communicate effectively within the store to ensure service excellence.
  14. Promote a safe work environment.
  15. Maintain reliable and consistent attendance.
  16. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2-3 years of related retail experience.
  • At least one year of management experience.
  • Experience in various store departments and customer service.
  • Strong communication and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and analyze financial data.
  • Commitment to safety and team mentorship.
  • Successful completion of required certifications.
Compensation & Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $26.50 per hour, determined by experience and qualifications. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, a 401(k) plan with employer match, disability leave, paid time off, paid parental leave, paid education assistance, childcare subsidy, and more.
