Job summary

Metropolitan Government of Nashville & Davidson County is seeking an Information Systems Applications Analyst 2 to support the Metro Legislative Management System (MLM) and related tools, including Legistar, VoteCast, and Council Chambers hardware and software.

ITS operates 24x7 to ensure secure communications and efficient operations for Metro and the public. The role requires willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• Granicus Applications Administration experience.
• IT software and hardware support experience.
• Ability to clearly communicate customer needs and issues.
• Proven problem solving and process improvement
• Strong skills in Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Responsibilities

• Serve as systems administrator, business analyst, tester, and support specialist for MLM and related tools.
• Attend Metro Council Meetings and support remote access to meetings.
• Prepare requirements for changes to IT functionality via interviews and analysis.
• Develop positive relationships with ITS staff, customers, and council members.
• Coordinate with hosting vendors and other ITS areas to meet customer needs.
• Collaborate to drive business strategies and improve services.
• Support applications and integrations including Nashville.gov and MLM components.
• Review and improve business processes with customers and partners.
• Enhance application security with ITS Security team.
• Act as liaison between ITS, vendors, and users of supported systems.
• Manage data processes including archiving/purging and backups.
• Develop and manage Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity plans.
• Create test plans and assist with application testing.
• Coordinate training for supported applications and schedule sessions.
• Manage annual software maintenance and licensing for supported apps.
• Facilitate communication between council members, staff, and ITS divisions.
