Job summary

Altorfer Inc. is seeking a Service Supervisor to lead shop operations and ensure clear communication between customers, shop management, and technicians. The role involves coordinating job openings, reviews, invoicing, and closing, while guiding yard and wash facility activities.

You will support the service department with calls and administrative tasks, maintaining safety standards. The ideal candidate has 2–4 years in service supervision or a related business degree, with strong communication

Qualifications

• 2-4 year college degree in business or 2 years’ experience in service supervisory setting.
• Military and veterans encouraged to apply.
• Engine, power train, hydraulic knowledge is a plus.
• DBS, SIS, Vision Link, Service & Equipment Link networks experience a plus.
• Knowledge of safety requirements and protocols.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills and customer service skills are needed.
• Computer literate, MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) is required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with customers when scheduling repairs in the shop and during the repair from start to end.
• Perform job openings, job review, work order notes, service report review, warranty, invoicing, and job closing.
• Assist customers and technicians on repairs and define the scope of work to ensure expectations are met.
• Manage the yard facilitator(s) and daily yard operations.
• Manage the wash bay attendant and wash facility.
• Assist service department with answering phone calls, payroll review and entry, and service office organization & appearance.
• Demonstrate strong customer communication & developmental skills and assist in managing a large workforce.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
