Job summary

West Central Equipment in Butler, PA, is seeking a Service Advisor for our Butler Store. We sell, service, and supply parts for John Deere tractors, skid loaders and track loaders, balers, combines, planters, mowers, utility vehicles, implements and related equipment.

You will interpret equipment problems, verify warranty coverage, develop accurate estimates, prepare RO, assign work to technicians, and maintain customer relationships while upholding our tradition of customer service and

• Mechanical aptitude and understanding of hydraulic/electrical systems.
• Strong computer skills and proficiency with service software.
• General ag and turf equipment knowledge.
• Willing to download and use company apps on a personal phone.

Responsibilities

• Interpret equipment problems by listening, clarifying, inspecting and test driving.
• Verify warranty coverage or service contract applicability.
• Develop and communicate accurate estimates and maintain customer contact about deviations.
• Prepare repair orders (RO) and enter into service database.
• Assign work to service technicians and maintain customer relationships.
• Prepare billing documents and complete billing with customers.
• Complete required training.

We sell, service, and supply parts for John Deere tractors, skid loaders and track loaders, balers, combines, planters, mowers, utility vehicles, implements and related equipment.

Job Duties

• Interpret equipment problems through listening, clarifying, inspecting and test driving
• Verify if warranty coverage, service contract or maintenance plan participation is applicable
• Develop and communicate accurate estimates, and maintain contact with customers regarding deviations from estimates
• Prepare repair orders (RO), enter RO into service database system
• Assign work to service technicians
• Maintain customer relationship and enhance company reputation
• Maintain equipment records
• Prepare billing documents and complete billing and payment with customers
• Complete required training
