Ascendance Truck Centers is seeking a motivated, full-time Service Writer to join our service department in Harrisburg. This role directs service personnel, delegates tasks, and answers questions about current and future jobs.

The ideal candidate has excellent communication skills and at least two years of relevant experience. The position emphasizes strong customer service, coordination with internal teams, and accurate write-ups with clear quotes and estimates.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the receipt and flow of all incoming work and coordinate with customers and internal departments.
• Greet customers promptly and collect vehicle and customer information for repairs; obtain signatures and provide copies of repair orders.
• Write up customer vehicle issues clearly and accurately and explain completed work and charges.
• Coordinate with vendors and warranty guidelines during write up and repair processes.
• Establish payment method and PO/estimate requirements; monitor repair progress and communicate status to customers.
• Ensure vehicles are parked in assigned areas; secure keys and prevent unauthorised access.
