Ascendance Truck Centers is seeking a motivated, full-time Service Writer to join our fast-paced service department. You will oversee the flow of work, communicate with customers, and guide service personnel to ensure accurate repairs and invoicing.

The ideal candidate has at least two years of relevant experience and strong communication skills. You will greet customers, collect information, write up issues, obtain repair approvals, and keep customers informed of progress.

Qualifications

• Ability to develop written estimates and quote bids and schedule jobs.
• Ability to read instructions, work orders, and specifications.
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to operate personal computer and business applications.

Responsibilities

• Receive and manage all incoming work, communicate with customers and coordinate with internal departments.
• Greet customers promptly and collect vehicle and customer information for repairs and invoicing.
• Write up vehicle issues and maintenance requirements clearly.
• Obtain customer signature and provide a copy of the repair order.
• Understand warranty guidelines and approval processes during write up and repair.
• Determine payment method and PO/estimate requirements at write up.
• Track progress of repairs and update customers with status changes.
• Ensure vehicles are parked in assigned areas and keys are secured.
• Explain completed work and charges to the customer.
• Stay current on warranty policies and product changes.
