Responsibilities

• Greet customers and listen to vehicle problems; gather details.
• Inspect vehicles for needed bodywork and notify customers.
• Secure customer agreement before repairs and provide estimates.
• Explain maintenance menus and care per manufacturer specs.
• Handle customer complaints and follow up on repairs.
• Manage communications on estimates and times with customers.
• Answer calls and messages promptly and review work performed.
• Refer leads to sales departments and assist the service manager.
• Follow safety procedures to minimize exposure to fumes and chemicals.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Greet customers, listen to the description of the problem, obtain customer and vehicle information
• Inspect all vehicles for bodywork, notify the customer if work is needed
• Secure agreement from customers before repairs; cover cost estimate; and approximate time when vehicle's work will be completed
• Advise customers on the care of their cars and the value of maintaining their vehicles in accordance with manufacture's specifications, using maintenance menus
• Handle minor customer complaints and misunderstandings
• Follow up progress of each repair order during the day, contact customers by telephone regarding changes in the estimate or time promised
• Handle telephone inquiries and return phone messages promptly
• Deliver vehicles to customers and answer any questions, review work performed and explain charges and coverage
• Refer leads and prospects for vehicle sales to the new and pre-owned sales departments
• Assist the service manager as necessary
• Follow company safety procedures to avoid exposure to fumes, dirt, dust and harsh chemicals
