Job summary

Swickard Honda of Thousand Oaks is seeking a service advisor in Ventura County to serve as the primary guest contact from write-up to vehicle return. You will translate repair findings into clear, confident recommendations and ensure accurate timelines and documentation.

Ideal candidates bring 1+ year in service advisory, hospitality, or guest-facing sales, with the potential to grow into senior advisor or service management roles.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of service advisor, hospitality, or guest-facing sales experience preferred — candidates from strong customer service backgrounds encouraged to apply
• Honda or Japanese brand experience a plus — product knowledge is trainable, people skills are not
• Clear, composed communicator who follows through without gaps and earns guest trust through consistency

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for guests throughout the service process — from write-up through vehicle return
• Translate technical repair findings into clear, confident communication — set accurate expectations and earn authorization through honest recommendations
• Build precise estimates, commit to realistic timelines, and follow through on every promise made
• Coordinate with technicians and parts to keep repair workflows moving efficiently and on schedule
• Identify and present additional service recommendations that protect guest safety and vehicle performance
• Maintain accurate records in the DMS and uphold all documentation and compliance standards

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• 1+ year of service advisor, hospitality, or guest-facing sales experience preferred -- candidates from strong customer service backgrounds encouraged to apply
• Honda or Japanese brand experience a plus -- product knowledge is trainable, people skills are not
• Clear, composed communicator who follows through without gaps and earns guest trust through consistency rather than personality alone
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail -- accurate estimates and realistic timelines are non-negotiable
• Self-motivated with a genuine drive to build a long-term book of returning guests
• Comfortable with DMS platforms or quick to learn them
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
