Job summary

Bill Cramer Chevrolet Cadillac Buick GMC in Panama City, FL is seeking a Service Advisor to join our growing team. This commission-based role offers the opportunity to earn an above-average income and to bring the work to you.

You will communicate with customers and technicians, prepare estimates, write service orders, and inform customers about repairs and timing. A strong customer-service mindset and basic automotive knowledge are valued.

• Previous Service Advisor experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Initiate automotive services and repairs by ascertaining vehicle performance problems and service requests; verify warranty and service contract coverage; develop estimates; write repair orders; maintain customer records.
• Serve as the communicator between customer and technician; ensure customer needs are understood by the technician and that needed services are understood by the customer.
• Verify warranty and service contract coverage by examining records; explain provisions and exclusions.
• Develop estimates by costing materials, supplies, and labor; calculate customer payments including deductibles.
• Prepare repair orders describing symptoms, problems, causes discovered, repairs needed; obtain approvals; enter RO into system.
• Communicate additional repair and service needs to the customer based on vehicle inspection.
• Administer manufacturer warranty for qualifying vehicle repairs.
• Present a friendly, professional greeting to customers and help identify, confirm and resolve customer concerns.
• Consult with customers on applicable service specials and keep them informed on completion times and expenses.

Our Service Departments are growing due to high customer demand, so you will have no problem having work day to day. Service Advisor can earn an above average income. Service Advisor Responsibilities:

• As a Service Advisor you will be responsible for initiating automotive services and repairs by ascertaining vehicle performance problems and service requests; verifying warranty and service contract coverage; developing estimates; writing repair orders; maintaining customer records.

Service Advisor Qualifications:
