Qualifications

• Two years related experience and/or training required.
• History of solid employment with good references.
• Proven track record of providing exceptional customer service.
• Prior sales experience helpful.
• Clean driving record; able to pass background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Schedules service appointments and obtains customer and vehicle data prior to arrival.
• Writes up customer’s vehicle problems accurately and clearly on repair orders.
• Advises customers on the care of their cars and the value of maintaining their vehicles in accordance with manufacturers’ specifications.
• Refs to service history.
• Inspects vehicle and recommends additional needed service.
• Provides a complete and accurate written cost estimate for labor and parts.
• Checks on progress of repair and informs customers of changes in the estimate or time.
• Explains costs and time requirements in detail and gets authorization for additional repairs.
• Keeps service department forms—menus and pricing guides up-to-date.
• Explains completed work and all charges to customers.
• Implements a quality control process to minimize comebacks.
• Handles telephone inquiries regarding appointments and work in process.
