Job summary

Reineke Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram - North Baltimore, OH is seeking a Service Advisor to greet customers, identify service needs, and communicate repair requirements. You will estimate costs, obtain approvals, and manage repair orders to keep work on time.

This role requires strong communication, multitasking, and experience in a dealership setting. Primary duties include maintaining accurate CDK data, handling payments, coordinating with the service manager, and supporting other advisors as needed

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license.
• 2+ years' experience in a service or dealership environment, sales, or customer service.
• Excellent communication and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Create repair orders and follow a schedule to maximize shop efficiency.
• Inspect finished orders for completion, pricing, and legibility.
• Answer calls promptly and courteously; satisfy inquiries.
• Assist other Service Advisors as needed.
• Ensure work is completed on time and as requested.
• Input data into CDK system accurately.

Summary

Service Advisors assist customers with repair and scheduled maintenance service requests. They help to ensure the vehicle is fixed and maintained properly and within a specified time frame. Excellent communication skills are necessary in this position.

Job Duties

• Greet all customers promptly; provides timely professional service.
• Provides excellent customer service by listening to customer inquiries and requests, identifying service needs, resolving customer concerns, and selling additional products when appropriate.
• Properly communicate with customers on the status of the vehicle and explain what repairs are necessary to complete issues.
• Estimates cost and completion time and settles customer accounts.
• Accept payment and provide a summary of repairs.
• Obtain the customer’s written approval on all repair orders at the time of the write-up or when closing additional add-on sales.
• Create repair orders and follow a suggested schedule to maximize shop efficiency and profitability.
• Inspect every finished repair order for proper completion, pricing accuracy, and legibility.
• Answer incoming phone calls promptly, courteously, and make effort to satisfy the caller’s inquiry.
• Assists other Service Advisors when needed.
• Ensure that work is completed on time and as requested.
• Properly and accurately input data into CDK system.

Exemption Status

Service Advisors is a non-exempt position. You are required by Federal and State Law and by Reineke Family Dealerships to keep an accurate record of all hours you work each day. Failure to comply with this requirement can result in disciplinary action up to and including termination. The dealership is an “at-will” employer, meaning that your employment has no specific term, and that the employment relationship may be terminated at any time at the will of either party on notice to the other. Nothing contained in your commission (compensation/pay) plan should be understood to alter the nature of the at-will employment relationship or create a contract of employment for a specific term.
