Suburban Ford Romeo is seeking an experienced Service Writer to manage the customer experience from intake to delivery. You will coordinate repair orders, verify warranties, and communicate with technicians to ensure accurate estimates and timely service.

Qualifications

• Must have proven experience as a Service Writer or Service Advisor (customer-facing role).
• Automotive knowledge and terminology understood; experience as a technician is a plus.
• Strong customer service and communication skills; able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced shop.

Responsibilities

Do you know how to build trust with customers, keep repair orders running smoothly, and communicate confidently with technicians? What You’ll Do:

As a Service Writer, you’ll take charge of the customer experience from start to finish—managing repair orders, setting accurate expectations, and serving as the critical link between the customer and the technician.

Responsibilities include:

• Initiate service and repair orders based on customer concerns and vehicle performance

• Verify warranty and service contract coverage

• Build accurate repair estimates including labor, parts, and deductibles

• Communicate service needs clearly to both customers and technicians

• Keep customers informed throughout the repair process—status, costs, and service timelines

• Administer manufacturer warranties for eligible repairs

• Maintain detailed and up-to-date customer records

• Promote current service specials and build long-term customer relationships

What You Bring:

• Proven experience as a Service Writer or Service Advisor

• Background as an automotive technician is a plus

• Strong customer service and communication skills

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

• Solid understanding of automotive systems and repair terminology

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
