Hall & Prior Aged Care Group is seeking an assistant service advisor to coordinate maintenance and repairs for clients. You will join a professional team, escalating to senior staff as needed to resolve client issues.

Reporting to the Service Manager, you will explain repairs in clear terms, schedule technicians, and ensure timely delivery while maintaining accurate client records and invoices.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in automotive or related field.
• Minimum 2 years experience as technician or service advisor.
• Good communication and German vehicle knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Explain technical repair scenarios clearly to clients.
• Greet clients and understand their needs.
• Coordinate appointments and workloads to meet on-time delivery.
• Prepare invoices and maintain client/stock records, respond within 24 hours.
• Discuss fault diagnosis and costs with clients before work starts.

About The Opportunity

The primary purpose of this position is to deliver excellent customer service by coordinating mechanical maintenance and repairs for clients to a professional standard, while supporting the operational profitability of the business. You will start as an assistant service advisor, working within a professional team to solve problems for clients and their cars. Whether you are an automotive technician ready to move into a service advisor role or already working as a service advisor, this is your chance to join a team that values your skills.

Reporting directly to the Service Manager, with daily contact with senior service advisors and trainers, some of your responsibilities will include:

• Explaining technical and complex repair scenarios to clients in a clear, understandable way
• Meeting and greeting clients and making sure their needs and concerns are fully understood
• Coordinating appointments and technician workloads to deliver vehicles on time as arranged
• Compiling accurate invoices, maintaining client and stock records and responding to all client enquiries within 24 hours
• Liaising with clients on preliminary fault diagnosis and agreed completion times, and getting costs approved before work begins

About You

The successful candidate will have:

• Certificate III in automotive or an associated industry
• 2 years' experience as a technician or as a service advisor
• A confident, friendly manner and a well presented, well groomed appearance
• Good technical knowledge of German vehicles and strong communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and a willingness to follow established work processes
• The ability to work within a team while remaining self motivated and autonomous
• A passion for cars and a genuine desire to provide customer service in maintaining clients' vehicles
• Good computer competency to accurately maintain client records, plus familiarity with spare parts operating systems
