Job summary

Ford of Latham in Latham, NY is seeking an experienced Service Advisor to join our busy dealership. You will greet customers, document service requests, and coordinate with technicians to deliver timely repairs. You will prepare estimates, write repair orders, and communicate options and costs to customers.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience as a Service Advisor.
• 3+ years experience as an automotive technician is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the liaison between customers and technicians; ensure the technician understands the customer's needs and the customer understands the needed and recommended service/repairs.
• Develop estimates by costing materials, supplies, and labor; calculate customer's payment, including deductibles.
• Prepare repair orders (RO), obtaining approval signatures and entering RO into service database system.
• Communicate additional repair and service needs to the customer based on vehicle inspection.
• Administer the manufacturer warranty for qualifying vehicle repairs.
• Keep customer informed of service specials, completion times and service expenses.
