Job summary

Happy Trailers, a family owned business with 14 locations in Texas and Oklahoma, is seeking a Service Advisor to guide customers through trailer service needs and ensure a seamless experience from start to finish.

The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical knowledge in trailer repair, excellent customer service, and upselling skills. Previous dealership experience and service writing are highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly.
• Upselling techniques to advise on needed services.
• Experience in trailer repair and automotive diagnostics is preferred.
• Familiarity with transmissions, brakes, suspension, and diesel engines is a plus.
• Experience in sales or service writing within an automotive environment is desirable.

As a Service Advisor, you will be the primary point of contact for customers, guiding them through their trailer service needs and ensuring a seamless experience from start to finish.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assess their automotive service needs.
• Provide detailed explanations of services and repairs needed, utilizing strong upselling techniques.
• Prepare accurate estimates for services based on customer requests and trailer diagnostics.
• Coordinate with service technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance.
• Maintain clear communication with customers regarding the status of their vehicles.
• Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records of services performed.
• Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing any concerns or questions promptly.
• Stay updated on automotive repair trends, technologies, and dealership policies.

Experience

• Previous dealership experience is preferred, with a focus on trailer repair and maintenance.
• Strong mechanical knowledge and experience in automotive diagnostics, trailer maintenance, and repair.
• Familiarity with various systems including transmissions, brakes, suspension, alignment, oil changes, tire services, shocks & struts, air brakes, diesel engine repair, and auto body repair.
• Proven customer service skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to customers.
• Experience in sales or service writing within an automotive environment is highly desirable.
• Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly.
