Job summary

Bates Ford of Lebanon is seeking a Service Advisor to greet customers, gather vehicle information, and schedule maintenance. You will assess symptoms, prepare labor and parts estimates, and communicate clearly with customers throughout the service process.

Candidates should have automotive knowledge, a customer-focused mindset, and the ability to work in a fast-paced dealership environment. Ford dealership experience is a plus, and a long-term career with a growing organization is encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly.
• Obtain customer and vehicle information.
• Clearly report all vehicle symptoms as described by the customer.
• Determine and recommend maintenance based on age, mileage and history.
• Prepare a complete and accurate estimate of cost for labor and parts.
• Establish follow up time.
• Monitor the progress of each vehicle and update customers.
• Verify that the final invoice matches the work performed.
• Explain all completed work and charges to customers.

Service Advisor Responsibilities:

• Greet customers promptly

• Obtain customer and vehicle information

• Clearly report all vehicle symptoms as described by the customer

• Determine and recommend maintenance base on age, mileage and history of vehicle

• Prepare a complete and accurate estimate of cost for labor and parts

• Establish follow up time

• Monitor the progress of each vehicle throughout the day, and update customers frequently

• Verify that the final invoice reconciles with the work performed on the repair order

• Explain all completed work and charges to customers

Service Advisor Requirements:

• Previous experience at a Ford dealership is a plus

• Ability to identify the problem quickly

• Knowledge of automobiles

• Proven record of achieving exceptional customer satisfaction

• Past experience as a service advisor, assistant lane manager or service consultant

• Very energetic personality

• A desire for a long‑term career with a growing organization

• Personal and professional integrity

• Computer skills and willingness to learn new programs

• Ability to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specifications

• Minimum of 1 year in service department

• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods of time

• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment
