Job summary

Cubanitas is seeking professional Servers/Wait staff with fine dining experience. This is a very important role for us and we rely heavily on our serving staff. They manage the pulse of the dining room and ensure patrons have a memorable dining experience.

Server duties include setting up the dining area, presenting menus, taking and relaying orders, serving meals and processing payments. A friendly, punctual, team-spirited professional with 2+ years in fine dining is required, with English

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with 2+ years of fine dining experience.
• Warm, outgoing personality and passion for service.
• Fluent in English; Spanish is a plus.
• Ability to multitask in a high-volume setting.
• Obtain a valid food handler card within 30 days.
• Proficient with cash handling and basic computer skills.
• Follow company policies and applicable laws.

Responsibilities

• Prepare dining room by setting condiments, napkins, plates, utensils, and décor as required.
• Present menus, help guests select dishes and beverages, and answer questions.
• Transmit orders to bar and kitchen and note special dietary needs.
• Serve orders, deliver accompaniments, and replenish table settings as needed.
• Maintain table settings, refill water, and observe dining process.
• Process payments, issue bills, and return change or receipts to guests.
• Contribute to a clean, safe dining environment and friendly guest experience.

Job description

We are seeking professional Servers/ Wait staff with fine dining experience. This is a very important role for us and we rely heavily on our serving staff. They manage the pulse of the dining room and ensure patrons have a memorable dining experience.

• Prepare room the dining room by setting condiments, napkins, service plates, utensils, and table décor as required.
• Protect the establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies.
• Help patrons select food and beverages by presenting menu; offering beverages; suggesting courses, and answering questions about the menu.
• Transmit orders to bar and kitchen by recording patrons' choices; identifying patrons' special dietary needs and special requests.
• Keep kitchen staff informed by noting timing of meal progression.
• Serve orders by picking up and delivering patrons' choices from bar and kitchen; delivering accompaniments and condiments from service bars.
• Respond to additional patron requirements by inquiring of needs; observing dining process.
• Maintain table setting by removing courses as completed; replenishing utensils; refilling water glasses; being alert to patron spills or other special needs.
• Conclude dining experience by acknowledging choice of restaurant; inviting patrons to return.
• Obtain payment by totaling charges; issuing bill; accepting payment; delivering bill and payment to guest; returning change or credit card and signature slip to patrons.

Server / Wait staff is generally offered as a part time restaurant job.Prior experience as server, waiter, waitress, wait staff, runner, foh, front of the house or other FOH part time restaurant job highly desirable.* Must be at least 18 years of age and have at least 2 years of experience at a fine dining establishment.
