Job summary

The Rivers of Grosse Pointe Woods in Grosse Pointe Woods, MI seeks an entry-level Server to deliver meals and provide friendly service within an Independent Living senior community.

Under the Dietary Manager, you will assist with meal setup, serving during designated times, and light food preparation, ensuring a pleasant dining experience while following facility policies and safety guidelines.

Great communication and reliability are valued to support Residents and staff daily.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 1 year related experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepares tables for meals with linens, silverware and glassware.
• Serves meals to residents in the dining room during meals.
• Performs light food prep: bread, salad, appetizers, desserts.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Assists with service, takes orders, and delivers meals under Dietary Manager guidance.

The Server, under the general direction of the Dietary Manager, is responsible for a variety of tasks relating but not limited to, providing quality service, taking orders, and delivering food and beverages for members of an Independent Living senior community in accordance with the policies and procedures set forth by the Company and state and federal regulation or law.

Responsibilities:

• Prepares tables for meals, including the complete set of linens, silverware and glassware.
• Serves meals to residents in dining room during designated meal-times
• Perform light food preparation duties including, bread, salad prep, appetizers, and dessert presentation.
• Perform other duties as assigned
