The Rivers at Grosse Pointe is seeking an Entry level Housekeeping Aide to maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents, staff, and visitors in Grosse Pointe Woods, MI. You will perform routine cleaning tasks with attention to safety and quality, while supporting a respectful, compassionate culture.

Qualified candidates bring a high school diploma or equivalent and a willingness to work in a long-term care setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping preferred.
• Experience in long-term care or geriatric care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Dust, mop, sanitize, and scrub resident rooms, restrooms, and common areas.
• Safely mix and use cleaning solutions and store securely.
• Dispose of trash and waste according to facility policies and procedures.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

The Housekeeping Aide provides cleaning services to provide a safe, sanitary, comfortable and homelike environment for residents, staff and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Dusts, mops, sanitizes, and scrubs resident rooms, restrooms, and common areas on a regular basis
• Safely mixes and uses cleaning solutions and stores in a secure area
• Disposes of trash and waste, including biohazardous waste and other materials that require special handling, only in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
• Performs other tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in housekeeping services is preferred
• Previous experience working in long-term care or with the geriatric population preferred
• Must possess outstanding communication skills and be able to follow oral and written instructions
