Job summary

Wise Villa Winery is seeking a Server/Tasting Bar Attendant to greet guests warmly, take orders, pour tastings, and help create a memorable dining experience with friendly, attentive service.

Ideal candidates are team players with excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to multi‑task and stay customer‑oriented; a Food Handlers and Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certificate is preferred or will be provided. Outdoor dining requires standing for long periods and lifting up to 40 pounds.

Qualifications

• Experience in restaurant serving preferred.
• Walk/stand for 6-8 hours per shift.
• Lift at least 40 pounds.

Job description

Wise Villa Winery is looking for a Server/Tasting Bar Attendant with an enthusiastic and positive energy who will create a memorable and enjoyable experience for each customer they serve or attend to. You play an important role in guest satisfaction by adding your own personal touch to the dining experience.

Some duties will include but are not limited to:

Greeting the customers warmly.

Taking orders and communicating with guests about when their food will be ready.

Diffusing any problems that may arise in a friendly and sincere manner.

Serving drinks.

Pouring tastings.

Interacting with other staff to ensure speedy and effective operations.

Keep tables neat and clean.

Check on your customers throughout the meal.

Keep the tasting bar stocked and clean.

Requirements:

• Must be able to walk/stand for 6-8 hours per shift
• Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds
• Must be able to work in all weather conditions as there is outdoor dining
• Attention to detail

It is important if you are applying for the server position, that you have had prior restaurant serving experience. You must be able to stand for extended periods of time, have excellent interpersonal skills, be a team player, be able to multi-task, be customer oriented and have a Food Handlers and Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certificate (if you do not have one upon applying, you will be given a link to get one). Some knowledge of wine and pairings is preferred.
