Job summary

The Trillium in McLean, VA is seeking a dining services team member to provide high-quality meal service and exceptional customer care to residents. You will help with set-up and cleaning of the Dining Room, assist servers, and uphold cleanliness, infection control, and hospitality standards in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes teamwork, adherence to safety procedures, and a proactive attitude. Prior food service experience is a plus, but not required; HS diploma or equivalent is

Responsibilities

• Greeting and seating Residents and Guests.
• Take meal/beverage orders and serve items per policy.
• Maintain dining areas using the clean-as-you-go policy.

• Follow daily and weekly cleaning schedules.
• Assist with orientation and training of new servers.
• Practice safety and loss prevention procedures.
• Maintain appearance, cleanliness, and hygiene standards.
• Attend in-services as required.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor.

POSITION SUMMARY

Providing service of high-quality meals and with exceptional customer service to the Residents. Must implement proper food handling and cleaning techniques to ensure optimal infection control. Conduct oneself in a manner which contributes to an environment conducive to the provisions of quality resident services. Responsible for set-up and cleaning of the Dining Room while maintaining or exceeding hospitality and service standards. Assist food servers with dining services to Residents as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Greeting and seating Residents and Guests.
• Responsible for taking meal/beverage orders and serving requested items according to established policies.
• Maintain all side stations and dining areas using the “clean as you go” policy.
• Assist with special events and functions as needed.
• Follow daily and weekly cleaning schedules.
• Assist with orientation and training of new food servers
• Practice all safety and loss prevention procedures.
• Maintain or exceed standards of appearance, cleanliness, personal sanitation, and hygiene.
• Attend all in-services as required.
• Perform all other reasonable tasks assigned by your supervisor.
