Job summary

The Trillium in McLean, VA seeks a Dining Services Assistant to deliver high-quality meals and provide exceptional customer service to Residents. You will assist with set-up and cleaning of the Dining Room and support food servers to ensure smooth service while maintaining infection control standards.

Responsibilities include greeting Residents, taking orders, keeping dining areas clean, helping with events, following schedules, training new staff, and adhering to safety and hygiene protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to read and write.
• Follow instructions with a positive attitude.
• Experience a plus, but not required.

• Attend all in-services as required.
• Perform all other reasonable tasks by supervisor.

POSITION SUMMARY

Providing service of high-quality meals and with exceptional customer service to the Residents. Must implement proper food handling and cleaning techniques to ensure optimal infection control. Conduct oneself in a manner which contributes to an environment conducive to the provisions of quality resident services. Responsible for set-up and cleaning of the Dining Room while maintaining or exceeding hospitality and service standards. Assist food servers with dining services to Residents as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Greeting and seating Residents and Guests.

• Maintain all side stations and dining areas using the “clean as you go” policy.
• Assist with special events and functions as needed.
• Follow daily and weekly cleaning schedules.
• Assist with orientation and training of new food servers.
• Practice all safety and loss prevention procedures.
• Maintain or exceed standards of appearance, cleanliness, personal sanitation, and hygiene.
• Attend all in-services as required.
• Perform all other reasonable tasks assigned by your supervisor.
