The Adolphus in Dallas, TX is seeking a personable Server for the Rodeo Bar. This full-time role focuses on delivering warm hospitality, guiding guests through our menu, and ensuring timely service in a vibrant setting.

You will record orders, accommodate allergies, recommend dishes, coordinate with kitchen, and foster meaningful guest relationships. Strong organizational skills and the ability to carry trays are essential.

Qualifications

• Record guests’ orders with careful attention to allergen notes and special requests.
• Provide menu knowledge and confidently recommend items to guests.
• Maintain awareness of kitchen timing and coordinate delivery of food and beverages.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and take orders accurately with a friendly, professional demeanor.
• Record orders and ensure allergen and dietary needs are noted and respected.
• Make timely recommendations to guests based on menu knowledge and guest preferences.
• Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service and timely delivery of meals.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of service areas; manage multiple tables efficiently.
• Carry and present food and beverages safely and professionally.

Recognized for more than a century as the iconic address for Dallas hospitality, The Adolphus offers timeless culture, vibrant and storied surroundings, imaginative and collaborative food and drink, and immersive experiences. In it's reimagining, the 407 room downtown hotel recalls a grand European home.

We are in search of passionate personalities to become the face of The Adolphus hotel’s iconic Rodeo Bar. This joint first opened in 1981 and served Dallasites and visitors for nearly four decades. We are now re-opening the Rodeo bar with a new menu, new vibe and back room for private gatherings while honoring the heart and soul of the original concept : “Texas grit and authenticity.”

This individual’s expertise goes beyond understanding of the menu. It dives deeper into a passion for food, the local culture, and human connection. This person creates a welcoming, warm environment that leaves guests with not only a great meal, but a new and inspired outlook on their surroundings.

Requested Tasks

• Record guests’ orders; have a keen eye for detail for allergens, special requests and noted information
• Through understanding and knowledge of food and beverage menu options; able to adeptly make recommendations to guests
• Understanding of Kitchen timing; ability to stay organized and deliver food and beverages in a timely manner
• Ability to create meaningful relationships with guests
• Good organizational skills
• Ability to carry food and drink trays
