Job Summary

Anderson Country Club, established in 1902, is a private golf and country club with 170 golf members and 80 social/dining members. We are seeking part-time and full-time servers, banquet servers, and bartenders. Previous bartending or service experience is a plus and will be considered during hourly pay negotiations. Candidates must obtain an Indiana employee liquor permit and pass a Safe Serve test within 120 days of employment. Flexibility for split shifts and weekends is required, and we can accommodate other work or school schedules.

Responsibilities

1. Take orders from members and guests for food and beverages.
2. Serve food and beverages, including special dishes, at tables.
3. Present menus, understand menu items, and suggest options.
4. Explain preparation methods and ingredients.
5. Inform guests of daily specials.
6. Record and enter orders into point-of-sale systems.
7. Bring wine selections with appropriate glasses.
8. Prepare and present checks, process payments.
9. Verify guest age for alcohol service.
10. Set up and clean tables and service areas.
11. Assist with reservations, greeting, and seating guests.
12. Perform cleaning duties and restocking.
13. Expedite food from kitchen to tables and prepare condiments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Some relevant work experience.
• Skills in communication, active listening, service orientation, coordination, and social perceptiveness.
