Job summary

Areas USA, Inc. is hiring a Server in Boston, MA. This tipped position offers an hourly base wage of $10.75 with additional tips based on guest orders and service quality.

You will greet guests, present menus, communicate specials, take orders, and process payments, while complying with all safety, sanitation, and alcohol service policies. You will also enter orders in the POS system, deliver checks, collaborate with kitchen and bar staff, and perform opening/closing duties to keep a clean,

Qualifications

• Experience in cash handling and credit card processing.
• 1 year serving in a high-volume environment preferred.
• Experience with a POS system in a service or hospitality environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet and attend to guests’ needs, provide menus and clearly communicate restaurant specials, answering menu questions, and collecting food and beverage orders.
• Serve alcoholic beverages responsibly, adhering to all alcohol service policies and procedures.
• Accurately enter orders into the point-of-sale system and process payments, as well as prepare and deliver the check to guests.
• Collaborate with other restaurant servers, kitchen and bar staff.
• Perform opening, closing, cleaning, and side work duties, and ensure all equipment and workspaces are clean, sanitized, organized, and functioning.
