Job summary

The Omni Hotels & Resorts in Fort Lauderdale is seeking a guest-focused server to deliver exemplary service across our food and beverage outlets. You will greet guests, set tables, and collaborate with the culinary team to meet meal requirements and dietary needs.

With at least 1 year of serving experience, you will confidently upsell items, handle MICROS transactions, and maintain a welcoming, high‑standard service mindset during varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year serving experience.
• Must acquire TIPS and ServSafe certifications.
• Knowledge of wine, spirits, and beer; experience selling wines.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Omni rules, policies, procedures, and standards.
• Greet guests using All-In impression standards.
• Set tables according to event type and service standards.
• Suggestively sell items and answer questions on menu selections.
• Communicate with culinary team regarding meal requirements and dietary needs.
• Record transactions in MICROS in a timely manner.
• Adhere to cash handling standards.
• Ensure satisfaction with each course and/or beverage.
• Present accurate check and process payment.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day.
• Set up and break down stations, including side work.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
• Be pleasant, greet guests, using surnames when obtained.
