Job summary

Sunrise Systems, Inc. in Austin, TX seeks a hands-on technician/engineer to support Server CPU Post‑Silicon validation focusing on high speed IO, PCIe, CXL, and related domains.

You will work with client validation engineers on test execution, troubleshooting failures, platform setup, and construction. Responsibilities include platform reconfiguration, attaching PCIe/CXL cards, installing backplanes and cooling, running weekly regression tests, and reporting progress.

Qualifications

• Experience with server validation environments and troubleshooting.
• Ability to interpret test results and document findings clearly.
• Familiarity with BIOS navigation and server OS basics.
• Basic programming/scripting in C/C++, Python, or Perl.

Responsibilities

• Platform setup and reconfiguration: attach PCIe/CXL cards/devices, install backplanes and cooling, install CPUs and related hardware.
• Set up PCIe and CXL protocol analyzers for Gen1-Gen6 speed.
• Perform BIOS updates, PCIe/CXL device firmware updates, BMC and FPGA image updates.
• Execute weekly regression testing and report progress.
