Job summary

AMD is seeking a Server Platform Validation Engineer to join a global engineering team in Austin, TX. You will validate BKCs across server programs, troubleshoot platform issues, and collaborate with engineering stakeholders in NA and globally.

Work involves hands-on validation of x86 CPUs, OS integration, and hardware/software interaction, with ownership of validation tasks from setup to release and opportunities to apply AI-assisted automation.

Qualifications

• Experience with server platform validation, system validation, or system engineering.
• Knowledge of modern x86 CPU and PC/server architecture including boot flow.
• AI-enabled workflows and automation familiarity is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support the validation, execution, and release of BKCs across server programs.
• Serve as technical contact for NA engineering stakeholders and connect US teams with global BKC org.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve system and platform issues to minimize blockers.
• Perform hands-on server platform validation including setup, regression, testing, and analysis.
• Take ownership of portions of the BKC release and validation process to completion.
• Collaborate across engineering disciplines to investigate platform-level issues.
