Responsibilities

Key Objectives:

• To serve guests and increase profitability.
• Provide a safe environment for guests and Team Members.

• Monitors guest consumption of alcohol and intervenes as needed according to guidelines.
• Interacting with guests and co-workers in a helpful, positive, upbeat, and professional manner.
• Responsible for complete set‑up, stocking and service of assigned area; sets, cleans, and resets tables.
• Removing dirty dishes, glassware, flatware, and soiled linens from tables and countertops, transporting them to the dish area.
• Monitoring and replenishing all stock items in assigned area in a neat, accurate and timely fashion.
• Refilling water glasses, coffee cups, butter/condiments, bread, and carrying orders to tables, as needed.
• Making coffee or tea, as needed.
• Ensuring assigned work area is neat, clean, and sanitized throughout the shift by wiping tables, counter areas, beverage stations, sinks, and sweeping and mopping floors as required to maintain a clean and safe workstation.
• Partnering with culinary team and server to work as a team to ensure coordinated workflow during the shift to meet business demands and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Maintaining all equipment in proper fashion (coffee machines, soda and juice dispensers, ice bins, service stations, and refrigerators).
• Presenting oneself as a credit to the Company and encouraging others to do the same.
• Operating a cash register/POS system, ringing the proper amount into the register and giving the guest the correct change; accounting for all cash, charge and complimentary sales according to established procedures; maintaining integrity of all financial controls and responsibilities.

Requirements

• Accountable for meeting or exceeding all State and company sanitation requirements (ServSafe).
• Adhering to regulatory, safety, departmental and company policies.
• Supporting safety and accident prevention programs (nonslip footwear, proper lifting).
• Serving as ambassador of goodwill while working and at customer and public relations functions; appears in publicity photos.
• Know or be able to learn tray service, cocktail ingredients.
• Possess and demonstrate a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn and have the ability to follow instruction and direction.
• Must be able to respond to visual and oral cues.
• Providing fast, friendly, professional service to racino guests, beverage servers and bartenders.
• Resolve customer service issues as quickly and efficiently as possible while maintaining company policy.
• Must present a well‑groomed appearance.
• Other duties, as needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This job does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or Experience: High School diploma; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in English may also be required.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance. Possess ability to operate an adding machine and have basic computer skills.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations: Employee must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.
