Responsibilities
  • Seeking out opportunities to provide exceptional Customer Service to our guests at all times.
  • Supporting property promotions and events.
  • Maintaining highly visible patrols to insure a safe gaming environment.
  • Assuring quality support to other departments so they may serve our guests more effectively.
  • Handling all escorts of money transactions in accordance with State Gaming Regulations and established Internal Controls.
  • Monitoring gaming floor for minors.
  • Responding to disturbances, emergencies and alarms in the racino and throughout the property.
  • Maintaining public order and enforcing safety rules.
  • Performing Bill Validator drops.
  • Escorting team members, visitors, vendors into sensitive areas with prior approval.

Requirements
  • Able to handle stressful situations dealing with the general public.
  • Employing tact when dealing with difficult team members, guests or situations.
  • Ability to identify and quickly respond to potential problems, conflicts and to defend oneself and others in combative situations.
  • Must possess a valid state issued driver’s license.
  • Ability to multi‑task as required, officers cover a wide variety of different posts and work with all departments.
  • Ability to be flexible, adapt and adjust, as necessary.
  • Other duties, as needed.

Education and/or Experience: High school diploma; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in English may also be required.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance. Possess ability to operate an adding machine and have basic computer skills.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations: Employee must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations. Must possess a valid driver’s license and have acceptable driving history as determined by Penn National Gaming’s auto insurance carrier.
