Job summary

Paloma Scratch Kitchen is seeking a server to greet guests, navigate the menu, and deliver attentive, high‑quality service in a vibrant on-site setting at The Wayback in Pigeon Forge.

You will work in a fast-paced hospitality environment, maintain knowledge of menu items and beverage pairings, and contribute to a memorable dining experience while upholding safety and service standards.

Qualifications

Paloma Scratch Kitchen is the on-site culinary destination at The Wayback — a fun, flavor-forward restaurant that brings the same vibrant, eclectic energy as the hotel itself. As a Server, you are central to that experience — the knowledgeable, attentive guide who helps each guest navigate the menu, anticipates their needs before they're voiced, and ensures every visit is memorable from the first greeting to the final farewell. This is a role for someone who takes genuine pride in the craft of great service and thrives in an environment where personality and professionalism go hand in hand.

What You'll Do

Guest Experience & Service

• Deliver warm, attentive, and efficient table service that reflects Paloma Scratch Kitchen's standards
• Anticipate and accommodate guest needs throughout the dining experience
• Inform guests of daily specials, menu changes, and featured offerings
• Address guest concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring every guest leaves satisfied
• Provide knowledgeable recommendations on local area attractions and activities

Menu & Product Knowledge

• Maintain thorough knowledge of all menu items, ingredients, flavors, and preparation methods
• Guide guests through beverage selections including cocktails and food pairings
• Stay current on menu changes, seasonal offerings, and featured items

Operations & Standards

• Take accurate food and beverage orders and communicate them correctly to the kitchen
• Ensure all food is prepared to guest satisfaction and company standards — return any incorrect or improperly prepared items to the kitchen
• Clear and reset tables efficiently as guests complete their meals
• Process guest checks and closing paperwork accurately and in a timely manner
• Verify guest identification to confirm legal drinking age
• Follow all AATMOS Hospitality safety, sanitation, and service standards at all times

Requirements

What We're Looking For

Experience & Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Minimum 1 year of restaurant or upscale service experience preferred
• Cocktail and beverage knowledge preferred

Skills & Abilities

• Warm, friendly demeanor with strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple tables simultaneously in a fast-paced environment

Physical & Schedule Requirements

• Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs throughout each shift
• TABC server permit from a TABC certified program required within 60 days of hire and must be maintained throughout employment
