Job summary

Shaner Group is seeking a restaurant server in Marathon, FL to provide courteous dining service and beverage delivery in a hotel setting. You will take orders, serve food and drinks, and handle payments while maintaining the dining area.

Occasional weekend shifts and holidays are required; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus. Training in ServSafe and TIPS helps ensure safety and quality standards are met daily.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of experience in a similar position dealing with the public.
• State age requirement to serve alcoholic beverages.
• Ability to communicate with guests, management and coworkers.
• High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
• ServSafe and/or food safety training.
• Alcohol awareness training (TIPS).
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
• Knowledge of local activities and attractions for clientele.

Job description

• Be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.
• Ensures compliance with and completion of all daily operational procedures by the Food and Beverage Department.
• Maintains food and beverage safety and quality based on hotel, Shaner, and Franchise specifications.
• Ensures communication with General Manager, all other Department Managers, Supervisors and Staff.
• Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

Take food and beverage orders, retrieve, and serve alcoholic, non-alcoholic beverages, and food orders to guest tables according to hotel specifications, courteously and efficiently. Collect payments. Also assists in the maintenance of the restaurant area and equipment.
