Job summary

La Posada Green Valley invites applications for a Lead Worker in Dining Services. The role assists the Dining Room Manager with operation of dining rooms, ensuring service and food quality meet La Posada standards; a Lead also performs full server duties.

As a Lead Worker, you supervise a group of servers on projects or daily tasks, schedule and manage daily work arrangements, and coordinate serving duties within an Assisted Living setting.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of related dining/food service experience.
• Title 4 Server Training must be completed within 90 days of hire.
• Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Resolve customer complaints regarding food service.
• Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas to ensure efficient service and conformance to standards.
• Observe and evaluate workers and work procedures to ensure quality standards.
• Monitor compliance with policies and procedures for servers including service, appearance, customers service and duties.
• Monitor server sections for flow and workload distribution; cater to special setups and buffets.
• Complete opening/closing server duty rosters, section assignments, server schedules, and daily records in FOH Log/Attendance in Outlook.
• Prepare information for supervisors on dining room operation and performance.
• Assign duties and work stations to employees per requirements.
• Oversees the set-up of all stations.
• Check resident floor refrigerators for cleanliness and par stock levels.
• Suggest measures to improve work procedures and staff performance.
• Participate in additional duties aligned with qualifications.

This position is reserved for Assisted Living.

Essential Functions

• Monitor server sections for flow and distribution of workload, catering functions for special set ups and service issues, and salad bar and buffets for professional and appealing appearance.
• Complete opening and closing server duty rosters, section assignments, server schedules, and daily record of events in FOH Log and FOH Attendance in Outlook.
• Prepare information for supervisors as requested on dining room operation and performance.
• Assign duties, responsibilities, and work stations to employees in accordance with work requirements.
• Oversees the set-up of all stations.
• Checks resident floor refrigerators for cleanliness and appropriate par stock levels.
• May be asked to recommend measures for improving work procedures and worker performance to increase service quality and enhance job safety.
• Participates in additional duties as assigned, that are aligned with qualifications and can be reasonably expected to be completed with minimal orientation.
