Job summary

Bruceton Farm Service, Inc. is seeking a server at the Huddle House location in Mt. Morris, PA 15349. The server will greet guests, review menus, take and deliver orders, and handle payments with a POS system while maintaining a clean, welcoming dining area.

The role reports to the General Manager and offers both part-time and full-time opportunities with benefits including health insurance, 401(k) matching, PTO, disability insurance, opportunities for advancement, and flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Age 16+ is required and able to perform duties.
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively with customers.
• Mobility to move around the dining area and service stations.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers with a smile and verbal greeting.
• Review menu, take orders, and upsell items when appropriate.
• Ring in orders accurately and deliver food promptly.
• Handle payments and give correct change using the POS system.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety, stock and prep as directed.
• Adhere to restaurant policies and report concerns to the manager.

Server

Reports to General Manager

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Report to work on time in a clean, complete, proper uniform with a positive attitude ready to work. Remember a smile is part of the uniform
• Greet all customers with a smile and a verbal greeting
• Review menu with customers when needed, suggestively sell products and take order from each customer at the table.
• Correctly ring in orders and deliver food in a timely manner to the customer when food is cooked.
• Handle money from customers; ring up tickets using the POS system and make proper change.
• Account for all tickets, credit card receipts, and make sure that all tickets have been rung up and closed before shift is over.
• Complete the position checklist while stocking and preparing the unit for the next shift
• Using all tools provided by the manager, keep the store clean at all times, including but not limited to: bussing tables, sweeping and mopping floors.
• Bring all items of concern to the attention of the manager immediately, especially safety concerns and customer service complaints.
• Know the menu, the daily features when applicable, which juices, and add-ons and desserts to suggestively sell
• Know and follow the Huddle House steps of service with each and every guest to maximize shift sales.
• Practice all rules for safety, food handling, cash security and all other restaurant policies.
• Perform all prepping and cleaning duties as detailed or assigned by supervisor.
• Make a difference in food cost by controlling waste and portion control.
• Perform all duties with a sense of urgency

QualificationsPOSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• 16+ years old
• Ability to wipe down table tops, table legs, pick up debris off of the floor and wipe down booth seats in all areas of the restaurant
• Transports plates, glasses and baskets to and from dining room, service bar, and the kitchen about 30 times per shift
• Reading, writing, basic math and verbal communication skills required.
• Mobility required during the entire shift
