Job summary

River Oaks Country Club in Houston is seeking a part-time Banquet Server to deliver exceptional event experiences for members and guests. Shifts AM & PM available, with excellent benefits and free employee meals.

Positions offer a starting range of $16.00-$18.00 per hour depending on experience, with ROCC paying for required TABC and Food Handlers training. Join a premier private club known for service excellence.

Qualifications

• Banquet or restaurant server experience of at least 6 months.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• TABC & Food Handlers certification (ROCC pays training).
• Knowledge of cocktails and wine service.
• Knowledge of proper service standards and etiquette.
• Able to work in hot, humid conditions and lift 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Execute events as specified on Banquet Event Orders.
• Provide immediate attention to members and guests upon arrival and seating.
• Serve members and guests in an efficient, attentive, and courteous manner.
• Follow proper steps of service and plate presentation.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and professional appearance per dress code.
• Keep a clean and sanitary work area.
• Perform set up and breakdown tasks (linen, tables, chairs, bussing, reset rooms).
• Prepare drinks when necessary.

Part-time ~ $16.00-18.00 per hour, depending on experience

Duties and Responsibilities

• Execute events as specified on Banquet Event Orders
• Provide immediate attention to members & guests upon arrival and seating
• Serve members and guests in efficient, attentive and courteous manner
• Follow proper steps of service and plate presentation
• Maintain a clean, neat and professional appearance at all times in accordance with the established dress codes
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work area
• Perform set up and breakdown tasks such as removing linen, moving tables, chairs, busing glasses, dishes, silverware and re-setting rooms
• Prepare drinks when necessary

Qualifications

• Experience working as a banquet or restaurant Server for at least 6 months
• At least 18 years old
• TABC & Food Handlers certified ROCC pay for this training, that can be conducted once you start
• Working knowledge of cocktails and wine service
• Possess knowledge of proper service standards and etiquette
• Able to work in hot, humid and inclement weather conditions, stand for extended periods of time and lift items weighing at least 30lbs
