Job summary

River Oaks Country Club in Houston, TX is seeking a friendly Banquet Server to deliver exceptional service for private events. If you enjoy contributing to memorable experiences for members and their guests, we want to hear from you.

This part-time position offers AM & PM shifts, competitive pay ($16.00–$18.00 per hour, based on experience), and benefits. You will execute banquet setups, assist guests, maintain professional appearance, and follow service standards.

Qualifications

• Experience working as a banquet or restaurant Server for at least 6 months.
• At least 18 years old.
• TABC & Food Handlers certified ROCC pay for this training, that can be conducted once you start.
• Working knowledge of cocktails and wine service.
• Possess knowledge of proper service standards and etiquette.
• Able to work in hot, humid and inclement weather conditions, stand for extended periods of time and lift items weighing at least 30lbs.

Responsibilities

• Execute events as specified on Banquet Event Orders.
• Provide immediate attention to members & guests upon arrival and seating.
• Serve members and guests in efficient, attentive and courteous manner.
• Follow proper steps of service and plate presentation.
• Maintain a clean, neat and professional appearance at all times in accordance with the established dress codes.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work area.
• Perform set up and breakdown tasks such as removing linen, moving tables, chairs, busing glasses, dishes, silverware and re-setting rooms.
• Prepare drinks when necessary.
