Job summary

River Oaks Country Club, Inc. is seeking a Banquet Server to join our team in Houston. This part-time role offers AM and PM shifts and a path to providing exceptional service at our private club events.

Successful candidates will have at least 6 months of banquet/restaurant serving experience, be 18+, and possess TABC and Food Handlers certifications (ROCC covers training). Knowledge of cocktails and wine service is preferred, with a professional demeanor at all times.

Qualifications

• Experience as banquet or restaurant server (min 6 months).
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• TABC & Food Handlers certified (ROCC pays training).
• Knowledge of cocktails and wine service; proper etiquette.

Responsibilities

• Execute events as specified on Banquet Event Orders.
• Attend to members and guests on arrival and seating.
• Serve guests in an efficient, attentive, courteous manner.
• Follow steps of service and plate presentation.
• Maintain professional appearance per dress codes.
• Keep work area clean and sanitary.
• Set up/breakdown tasks; reset rooms as needed.
• Prepare drinks when necessary.

Job description

River Oaks Country Club is looking for a Banquet Server to join our team. If you are passionate about providing the ultimate event experience to our members and their guests we want to hear from you!

Part-time ~ $16.00-18.00 per hour, depending on experience

Duties And Responsibilities

• Execute events as specified on Banquet Event Orders
• Provide immediate attention to members & guests upon arrival and seating
• Serve members and guests in efficient, attentive and courteous manner
• Follow proper steps of service and plate presentation
• Maintain a clean, neat and professional appearance at all times in accordance with the established dress codes
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work area
• Perform set up and breakdown tasks such as removing linen, moving tables, chairs, busing glasses, dishes, silverware and re-setting rooms
• Prepare drinks when necessary

Qualifications

• Experience working as a banquet or restaurant Server for at least 6 months
• At least 18 years old
• TABC & Food Handlers certified ROCC pay for this training, that can be conducted once you start
• Working knowledge of cocktails and wine service
• Possess knowledge of proper service standards and etiquette
• Able to work in hot, humid and inclement weather conditions, stand for extended periods of time and lift items weighing at least 30lbs
