Job summary

AMD is seeking a dynamic Systems Debug Engineer to join the Server Customer Engineering team. You will drive complex silicon and system issues through root cause analysis, enabling customers with robust validation and debugging strategies.

In this high-visibility role, you will collaborate with global teams, use advanced debug tools, and contribute to SOC bring-up, validation, and production phases while mentoring peers across disciplines.

Qualifications

• RAS validation and debug experience.
• PCIe/CXL functional and protocol debugging.
• Memory validation and/or debug experience.
• MCA/MCE validation and debug.
• Post-silicon validation methodologies experience.
• Programming languages such as Python, C++, Perl, Ruby.
• Experience with high-speed test equipment like protocol analyzers and scopes.
• Familiarity with X86 microarchitecture.
• Strong debugging techniques and methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Work on RAS, PCIe, Memory, MCA, CXL and Micro-Controller related failures with customers to resolve problems.
• Collaborate with AMD global teams to identify best solutions.
• Provide validation and debug recommendations to customers for validation, new features and questions.
• Utilize debug tools to narrow down and root cause customer failures.
• Debug issues during bring-up, validation and production phases of SOC programs.
• Engage with other software/hardware/design teams.
• Lead task forces and collaborate across multiple teams.
