Job summary

AMD is seeking a Lead Systems Debug Engineer in Austin, TX, with extensive experience in systems debugging for server platforms. You will diagnose complex RAS, PCIe/CXL, and memory issues, lead cross‑functional collaborations, and mentor teams to ensure robust SOC bring-up and production readiness.

You will work with customers and AMD global teams to deliver high‑quality solutions and drive root-cause analysis across hardware and software interfaces.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in RAS, PCIe/CXL functional and protocol debug and validation
  • DDR memory validation and/or debug
  • MCA/MCE validation and debug
  • Post-silicon validation methodologies
  • Programming/scripting in Python, C++, Perl, Ruby, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Work on RAS, PCIe, Memory, MCA, CXL and Micro-Controller related failures with customers to resolve problems
  • Collaborate with AMD global teams to identify best solutions
  • Provide validation and debug recommendations for validation, new features, and debug questions
  • Use debug tools (e.g., scripts, protocol analyzers, SCAN and JTAG) to narrow down root causes
  • Debug issues during bring-up, validation, and production phases of SOC programs
  • Engage with software/hardware/design teams and lead task forces across teams
