Key Responsibilities of the Server

1. Provide immediate attention to all guests upon seating.
2. Describe specials of the day, answer questions about menu items, and offer suggestions when appropriate.
3. Take food and beverage orders and deliver food promptly after preparation.
4. Follow up with guests to ensure satisfaction and replenish items as needed.
5. Participate in pre-shift meetings and taste tests.
6. Maintain an organized workstation and perform side work duties.
7. Handle checks and cash transactions using the Point of Sale system.
8. Follow established procedures for taking, placing, and delivering orders.
9. Adhere to standards for greeting guests, cocktail service, food delivery, and general service techniques.
10. Practice tray service for all food and beverage service.
11. Follow safe work practices in job performance.
12. Perform other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications for the Server

• High school diploma or GED; two years of serving experience and/or training, or equivalent education and experience.
• Ability to meet state age requirements for handling alcohol.
