3 Taps is a casual outdoor lakeside bar where patrons can enjoy draft beer and cocktails by the fire while listening to live music. Food and soft drinks are available from The A Truck, a food truck operated by Chautauqua Hotel Company. During the nine-week summer season, tableside and bar service are available from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. daily. During the pre-season (May) and post-season (October), service is typically available Friday to Sunday.
Compensation
Employees earn $10.35/hour plus tipped earnings. Those scheduled to perform non-tipped work for 20%+ of their shift, attend required events, or do not meet minimum wage with tips will be paid a minimum of $15.50/hour.
Work Responsibilities
Referral Program
Chautauqua Institution offers a $500 referral bonus for active employees who refer new hires that remain employed for at least 90 days (or 30 days for seasonal positions). The bonus is subject to taxes.
Schedule
Flexible full- and part-time seasonal schedules starting each June through August, with potential pre- and post-season work. Typical shifts range from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m., including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Housing
Limited on-ground housing may be available or assistance provided, but candidates should not assume employer-provided housing unless specified.
