Job summary

Beemok Hospitality Holdings LLC is seeking a courteous Banquet Server to deliver exceptional service at high-profile events in Charleston. You will work in a luxury environment, anticipate guest needs, and maintain the standards of The Charleston Place.

Responsibilities include setting and clearing tables, serving courses and beverages, and staying familiar with menus and ingredients to ensure accurate and timely service during banquets, receptions, and off-premises catering.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in luxury hospitality preferred.
• Excellent communication and guest service skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve guests at banquets, receptions, and catering functions following established standards.
• Set tables, serve meals and beverages, and clear tables.
• Know menu items, ingredients, and beverages to answer questions and upsell where appropriate.
• Assist with setup and breakdown of events and monitor tables during shifts.

The primary role of a Banquet Server is to ensure all guests are served in a friendly and courteous manner using appropriate procedures, in accordance with The Charleston Place standards. While no job description can possibly provide a comprehensive list of job duties, the following is a summary of the major responsibilities for the position.Duties/Responsibilities:Ensure service to all guests at banquets, receptions, and off-premises catering functions follows established standards, and is consistent, efficient, and courteous.Set tables; serve meals (food and beverages); clear tables.Be thoroughly familiar with each event’s menu items, ingredients, beverages, etc. and deliver exceptional service while anticipating guests' needs.Assist with function set-up and breakdown and consistently check tables and side stands during shift.Required Skills/Abilities:Understanding of the luxury & quality environment.Strong positive attitude and ability to initiate a light conversation with guests.Education and Experience:High school diploma or equivalent.Physical Requirements:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a colleague to successfully perform the essential functions of this job:Must be able to lift equipment, supplies, etc. of at least 30 pounds; push and pull equipment , supplies, etc., at least 100 pounds.Regularly required to stand, walk, talk and hear; frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, feel and reach with hands and arms; frequently required to sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch. Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard Banquets equipment.
