Charleston Harbor Resort & Marina is seeking a Banquet House Person to set up, tear down, and clean meeting spaces according to BEOs and diagrams. You will work closely with management and event staff to ensure flawless execution of each event.

The ideal candidate will read event orders, understand setup diagrams, and maintain a clean, presentable banquet area at all times, with reliability and a willingness to work varied shifts.

Essential Functions/Responsibilites

The Banquet House Person is responsible for the setup, tear down, and cleanup of meetings and events in accordance with our outstanding service criteria. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing all, but not limited to, the following tasks to the highest of standards:

• Read and understand the Banquet Event Order (BEO)
• Set up all meeting and event spaces exactly according to the BEO and diagram (if provided) or as instructed by the management team
• Communicate with management and team members to ensure accurate setup
• Ensure all areas of the banquet space are clean and presentable at all times
• Complete opening, closing, weekly, and monthly cleaning duties that are assigned
• Ensure all rooms are clean prior to the last person leaving at the end of the day and set properly for the next event

Qualifications / Requirements

• Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry or otherwise move packages, supplies and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. continuously throughout the shift
• Ability to learn and perform all essential job functions accurately and safely with minimal supervision
• Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school or any other combination of training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities
• Prior food and beverage service or other hospitality experienced preferred, but not mandatory
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must have an eye for detail
• Must be able to work any day of the week
