Sonesta International Hotels in New Orleans is seeking a friendly server assistant to support the dining team. You will clear and set tables, assist servers, and ensure stations are stocked for service.

This role emphasizes guest-focused service, teamwork, and adherence to safety standards. The successful candidate will have relevant permits or ServSafe certification where required, and a professional appearance.

Qualifications

• Track record of delivering exceptional guest or client experience.
• Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time for training and safety purposes, and when interacting with guests and associates.
• Strong communication skills.
• Appropriate professional appearance and demeanor.
• Valid Louisiana Responsible Vendor Server’s Permit required.
• Valid ServSafe Food Handler Certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Assists servers in their tasks.
• Ensures all service stations in the kitchen are stocked and ready for service.
• Removes soiled dishes from table; brings to dish washing area.
• Completes set up and teardown of dining events as assigned.
• Carry food trays to tables using the correct seat positions on the ticket.
• Place entrée to the correct seat positions accordingly.
• Sets tables with silverware, glassware and other items.
• Polishes silverware before and after shifts.
• Cleans dining room areas.
• Stocks servers’ station with supplies.
• Build solid relationship with your Colleagues.
• Treat colleagues with respect and dignity.
