Job summary

American Social in Miami is seeking a friendly, team-focused server to join our Front of House. You will welcome guests, take orders, refill non-alcoholic beverages, and coordinate with hosts and managers to keep service moving smoothly.

The role requires 18+, ability to work late hours (up to 3AM), English fluency, physical stamina, and a readiness to help in other areas as needed. Compensation starts at minimum wage; lively, fast-paced environment with strong teamwork.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English with reading/writing proficiency.
• Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy.
• Physical ability to transport items up to 30 pounds and remain standing for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and manage seating; communicate with hosts and managers.
• Refill non-alcoholic beverages and maintain cleanliness of tables and restrooms.
• Assist in other departments as needed and maintain a clean, organized environment.
• Work cohesively with team members and follow supervisors' directions.
• Handle service under high-pressure conditions and during weekends/holidays.

Job Functions:

• Cleans and prepares tables for new guests


• Communicates with Hosts and Managers using radios for tables updates and other needs


• Supports restaurant maintenance by stocking supplies and keeping a clean and organized environment

• Flexible to assist in other departments as requested

• Pre-bussing and re-setting tables with a 3 minute timeframe

Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 years of age


• Ability to work Late Night shifts, potentially to between 12 AM – 3AM


• Works assigned scheduled shifts


• Food handling certificate a plus


• Fluent in English; able to speak, read, write


• Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy


• Ability to transport items up to 30 pounds


• Remain in stationary position for up to 4 hours throughout work shift


• Satisfactorily communicate with guests, management and co-workers to their understanding


• Must be available to work weekends and holidays
