Job summary

Riggs Washington DC is seeking a Public Area Attendant to maintain the cleanliness and appearance of all public spaces in our luxury hotel. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a welcoming personality, and works well with a team to exceed guest expectations.

Responsibilities include cleaning lobbies, hallways, restrooms, elevators and other areas; assisting with trash removal, supply replenishment, and reporting maintenance needs; and collaborating with other departments

Qualifications

• A minimum of 1–2 years hospitality or housekeeping experience is preferred but not required.
• Hotel experience is not required – fun and welcoming personality is a MUST.
• Willingness to learn.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. without assistance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of all public areas of the Hotel.
• Clean lobbies, hallways, elevators, restrooms and other assigned public spaces.
• Vacuum, sweep, mop, dust and polish assigned areas.
• Remove trash and replenish supplies as needed.
• Report maintenance concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
• Respond to guest and departmental cleaning requests as needed.
• Collaborate and communicate with all departments to ensure seamless guest satisfaction.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Housekeeping leadership.
