Job summary

The Darcy Hotel in Washington, DC is seeking a Server Assistant / Busperson to support the Restaurant team with attentive guest service and a clean, welcoming dining environment.

Pay is $12.00–$12.50 per hour, full-time, with standard hourly classification. Certifications such as TIPS and ServSafe are preferred, along with English communication skills and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and move up to 150 pounds as required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of proper table settings and serviceware.
• Ability to grasp, lift, carry, or otherwise transport items weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to move or push goods weighing up to 150 pounds using a handcart or hand truck, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• TIPS certification.
• ServSafe certification.
• Ability to communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Quickly clear used table settings and prepare tables for resetting.
• Promptly and consistently reset tables with the appropriate serviceware.
• Keep service stations clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies, including silverware, linens, and condiments, for all meal periods.
• Serve beverages, bread, and butter, and replenish items as needed throughout the dining experience.
• Transport used tableware from the dining room to the dishwashing area for cleaning.
• Follow attendance policies and maintain regular, reliable attendance.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Position Summary
