Job summary

Main Event in Tempe is seeking a friendly Server Assistant to support the Server, keep dining areas spotless, greet Guests, and assist with drink overs. You help with refills, pre-bussing tables and turning tables while upholding safety and sanitation standards.

This role emphasizes delivering timely service, teamwork, and a guest-focused mindset. Availability for days, nights, and weekends is required to help us create memorable experiences for our Guests.

Qualifications

• Food and beverage experience is a plus but not required.
• Must communicate effectively and stay organized in a fast-paced setting.
• Willingness to work days, nights and weekends; be reliable.

Responsibilities

At Main Event, our Server Assistants are there to support the Server to ensure that our Guests have an amazing experience! As a Server Assistant, your primary duty is to help with refills, pre-bussing tables and helping with table turns, and making sure the dining areas are spotlessly clean! You also assist with aspects of service like greeting Guests and taking drink overs. You’re also dedicated to delivering the highest standards in safety and sanitation.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING DAILY?

• Upholding our cleanliness and safety standards (We take this seriously!)
• Assisting with greeting Guests and taking drink orders
• Delivering food and drinks in a timely manner and anticipating Guest’s needs
• Supporting the Server, by refilling condiments, pre-bussing tables and turning tables
• Creating memorable experiences by providing exceptional service
• Performing opening, mid-day or closing duties

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Prior food and beverage experience a plus, but not required
• Guest focused mindset (We heart our Guests!)
• Teamwork is a must (Teamwork makes the dream work!)
• Food Handlers Certification and Alcohol Certification, as required
• Communicates effectively
• Sense of urgency and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
• Strong problem solving and multi-tasking skills
• Can effectively communicate with Management, Team Members, and Guests
• Availability to work days, nights and/or weekends
